Happy Hulloween!

One of my stories is in this book! (Am I allowed to be this excited?)

To Hull and Back 2016 is now available!

The To Hull and Back 2016 Short Story Competition Anthology contains a humorous short story by yours truly! (It also contains 19 other short-listed humorous stories as well as 1 each by the 9 authors who judged the competition — it is an anthology, after all.)

It’s immediately available in print for $12.99 (£10.61), as an ebook for $6.49 (£8.99), and as a PDF for $4.88 (£3.99), so you can judge for yourself. I’d love to know what you honestly think about the anthology in whole or in part. Yes, even my part.

I’ve read the Grand Prize winner’s and the available portion of the Second Prize winner’s on Amazon, and I’m familiar with mine, so I think I’m not risking my credibility to tell you there are probably as many styles of humorous writing showcased here as there are authors.

Please take a look, and consider purchasing a copy for yourself or someone you know who appreciates good writing and likes to laugh. Thanks very much!

Author: Sue Ranscht

Having survived valve repair surgery and an experimental cardiac bypass at age 5, three years before it was an accepted medical procedure, Susan grew into the size of her overworked and enlarged heart. Maybe she thought she had enough to give it away -- twice. Both times, she had to retrieve the shattered pieces and puzzle them back together. She thanks her Dad for the only advice of his she ever followed to the letter: "Never get married. Learn to take care of yourself." So of course she is a writer. Susan has co-written a YA SciFi novel, and has three more novels in various stages of evolution. She's had several short stories published in other people's anthologies, some of which were contest-related. Let her tell you a story...

    1. Thank you, Curtis. Do enter! This year 18 of the authors are British, and two are American. He had entrants from all over the world, but you could be the first Brit from France! Plus, next year, every short listed story will receive a cash prize.
