Cosmic Photo Challenge

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge theme this week is Futurism. Click on the link to learn how to play along. You can see Dale’s entries there, too. K’lee’s areย here.

The concept that communicates “futurism” most clearly to me is space and all the weirdness we might find out there, even though whatever we find is likely to be billions and billions of years old. So I created The Vortex:

The Vortex is opening!

That was gonna be it. But then I saw KG’s entry, and I decided to go a few light years further. (Thanks for sharing the Photomania app, KG!)

A white hole, the black hole’s egress — where universes come from.

One more with a more present future, if I may:

It’s a bright and shiny Apple future.

  1. Phenomenal work, Sue! You always step it up to a new level with the challenges. Very good to have you joing us. I actually like the apple edition in the end. It makes me wonder if they might be secretly working on a ‘vortex’ of their own? Could make for an excellent tale of futurism?

    1. Gee, thanks, K’lee! It’s always fun to attack the challenge with some creativity. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Apple come out with a version of their watch that’s similar to Captain Jack Harkness’s Vortex Manipulator. Watch for it in the 2030 Keynote Address. ๐Ÿ™‚ In the meantime, one of us could come up with a story about it and then sue them for copyright infringement. ๐Ÿ˜‰
